Ski Day!

I think we are the only one's in Utah that don't know how to ski. They should revoke our Utah card's! But Kevin loves skiing and my kids have never tried - so we went for a ski day!

Kevin and Mark were the more experienced skiers. So they were buddies on the big runs.

They tried to talk Kevin into going down the mountain with these on - but he could see very well in them. But he didn't mind posing for a picture in the parking lot.
Always a goof.

Everyone had a great time and although they were all sore and exhausted - no major injuries.
I think they've caught the skiing bug - they would love to go again.

Before......after

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this hair after the play. His teacher asked all the kids to not get haircuts until after the play was over. It was even bugging him after a while.

It's actually not as long as I thought it might get - it just kept getting bushy.

There's my handsome Alex!
(so thrilled mom is making him get photo's)

Another actor in the family!

Alex is our soccer dude - he eats, breathes, sleeps, everything soccer and has since he was 5 yrs old. His wardrobe is all soccer, his room is decorated with his years of trophies and medals. He even has his own 4 ft tall "fat-head" picture of himself playing soccer decorating his wall.

So, needless to say, he surprised us when said he wanted to try out for the school play. And then he surprised us at how much fun he had and how good he was. Now he is Alex the soccer dude and Alex the actor dude.

Alex is on the right side. The play was "Into the Woods." He is Rapunzel's prince and he is singing "Agony" with his friend Wayne who is Cinderella's prince.

Great job Alex! It seems you've caught the acting bug from your older sister and brother.

Spring has Sprung!

We are enjoying our early Spring that has followed our mild winter.

The Daffodil's are blooming

The grass is greening up

With temp's in the upper 60's and warm evenings as well - the boys asked to pull out the fire-pit to roast marshmallows.

 First sign's of Spring!!!!
 Love it!

Happy Spring!

My sisters, Heather and Shannon, and their families were all in town last weekend so we planned a family dinner. It just happened to be St Patrick's Day. Lauren was so cute with Shannon's girls getting them to help decorate cupcakes. They were supposed to be St Patrick's cupcakes but quickly turned into Spring Cupcakes. Good job girls!

 McKay's is decorated a little more boy'ish.

Creepy face McKay!

They did a good job!

Mmmmmm. Delicious!

Goblin Valley

The boys went with their scout troop down to goblin valley. They had a great time hiking and jumping around the "goblins".

I think there is a special place in Heaven for Scout Leaders!

Troop 109
 (half of them anyway)

Kevin LOVES goblin valley. He loves to hike and explore. He sticks to the rocks like a lizard.
(nice hair - it was very windy!)

Kevin
Kevin and Cole  - can you see them?

I'm not sure Mom's should see pictures from scout campouts! Looks scary!

Jake and Alex putting away their tent.

They were so exhausted. The wind blew so hard all night it kept them awake most of the night. One scouts tent blew away when they got out of it at 3:30 am. Jake went and found it the next morning. We had very tired scouts - but they had a lot of fun. It's one of their favorite spots!

Soccer Dream

Alex has loved soccer ever since he started playing when he was five. Well, yesterday he played in his first High School game after making it on the Bountiful High team as a Freshman. We are so excited for him. Go Braves! and Go Alex!

Here is Alex over the years - ah, isn't he cute!

Could I embarrass him any further?

Alex going in the Game yesterday...

Bountiful High JV Team at half time.

The day before it was 65 degree's.
Earlier in the day it was near 60.
Then the storm blew in right at game time!

It was windy and freezing!
The snow was just starting to come down at the half.

Lousy picture but the snow is really starting to come now.
By the end of the game you couldn't see the lines on the field anymore and we had frozen players and parents. All the boys had white hair by the end - it was hard to tell them apart.

We lost 0-1 to Davis High. But Alex played really well. It was fun to watch him.

Hopefully tomorrow's game will be warmer!!!!
